Zen Fertility Center (formerly Chang Acupuncture) in San Diego specializes in the holistic method of healing through acupuncture and Chinese herbs. Its practitioners provide such services as general acupuncture, fertility enhancement, pregnancy support, perimenopause and facial rejuvenation.

The Problem

Prior to using Appointment-Plus, Zen Fertility Center relied on the traditional scheduling tool: a paper appointment book. Each acupuncturist had his or her own book, which made it difficult to keep track of all daily appointment made at the office. The addition of new staff members compounded this difficulty.

Analysis

Owner Julie Chang determined that a more efficient scheduling tool—such as scheduling software—was necessary for managing her clients’ appointments and information. She wanted an easy-to-use scheduling system that would manage all of her therapists’ appointments and provide them with constant access to their calendars.

Solution

Ms. Chang discovered Appointment-Plus while conducting an online search for appointment-scheduling software providers. After examining several other services, she chose Appointment-Plus as her appointment scheduler.

Result

Appointment-Plus gives Zen Fertility Center the tools it needs to effectively manage its clients and their appointments. It uses the software to schedule approximately 80 appointments per week. (It currently uses Appointment-Plus for internal-scheduling only.) Ms. Chang “loves the service,” and the automated e-mail and text message reminders send prior to her clients’ appointments have decreased the number of “no-shows.”
